Climate

The climate is equatorial and considerably humid, but without any specific rainy season. In the mountains, the temperature is much lower. Two rainy seasons a year are between May and August and November and December. The rain falls last from 30 minutes to 1 hour a day and are not too inconvenient for tourists. The winds from the sea have a good influence on the hot and humid climate of the coast. The biggest heat-wave in the country is in May and October, when the temperature exceeds 35 C. In the winter months, the average temperature during the day ranges from 24 to 28 C.
