Climate
The climate in Egypt is a very dry tropical climate and only in a narrow strip along the Mediterranean Sea there is a Mediterranean-like subtropical climate . Summer (from May to October) is hot and dry, rapid fall of temperature is possible at night. Winter is colder, mainly in the desert regions. During spring there blows Hamsin wind, which is hot and dry, carries desert dust and causes sandstorms and heat. Average temperature in the north in January is 12-14C, in the south 17C, in July about 23C in the north to 33C in the south. Annual rainfall in the north is 200 millimeters, in the south only a couple of millimeters.
The Climate in Egypt may be inconvenient for tourists. During summer the temperatures may even reach 55C in a shadow.
